A delegation representing the Canadian Parliament visited the company. The delegation was headed by the Parliament Speaker Noel Kinsella. Deputy Managing Director (West Kuwait) Ahmad Al-Rasheed received the delegation.
Guests’ major stop was at GC-27 - West Kuwait. Team Leader (Production Operations – West) Ali Al-Kandari gave a briefing about the gathering center work-flow. GC-27 is currently under expansion project which is under execution by the Canadian company SNC Lanvin.
“Our visit reflects Canada and Kuwait reliance on oil as a major source of income, that’s why cooperation between the two countries is important,” Kinsella said. “We are keen in strengthening ties between the Canadian companies and KOC considering that Canad has a wealth of experience in the production of heavy oil.”
Al-Rasheed described the visit as important. “The high level delegation reflects KOC’s prominent status among the world major oil companies. “We are seeking to import the latest technologies used in the oil and gas industry.”
Guests were briefed by TL, HSE-West Kuwait Ismail Mataqi about the safety measures applied inside the gathering center before the tour.
