In his opening speech, Al-Rushaid said that KOC will provide full support for women to play a stronger role. “Our society and our Company need the participation of all of us. Women are required to play an increasingly important role and assume more leadership in our high-demanding industry,” he said.

DMD, North Kuwait, and PWS Chairperson, Hosnia Hashim, also spoke on the occasion. “Women effectively supported the growth of our country,” she remarked. She underlined the fact that in KOC, 14% of the professional employees are female, but occupy only 5% of the leadership positions.
For her part, Jones said that women have all the skills and potential to assume any leadership role in any field. She gave female participation in well fire-fighting and in rebuilding Kuwait as excellent examples of Kuwaiti women’s capabilities.
The PWN has a full schedule for the next 3 years, and the aim is to increase awareness and introduce successful women leadership experience at the world level.
