KOC took part in the 24th World Gas Conference and Exhibition, which took place in Argentina on October 5th. The conference was graced by the Argentinean President, Cristina Elizabet Fernández de Kirchner.
The conference, entitled, “The Global Energy Challenges: Reviewing the Strategies for Natural Gas,” addressed various challenges facing the natural gas industry and its role in the stability of energy supplies.
The conference also discussed means of achieving sustainable development, the integration of markets, research and development, among others. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the next meeting would be held in Algiers.
Several work-papers were presented by KOC representatives which focused on the Company’s strategy regardin gas exploration, production and distribution.
A representative from the Kuwait Embassy in Argentina, Mahdi Al-Ajmi, visited the Company’s booth at the exhibition, and provided the necessary facilities beforehand.
