Kuwait Oil Company- Soil Remediation Group is hosting an
Environmental Remediation Technologies Workshop for global remediation
specialists starting 25 January 2015 for 4 days as part of activities
associated with the Kuwait Environmental Remediation Program (KERP) dealing
with the legacy contamination from the Gulf War.
The overarching objective of the workshop is information
exchange. KOC will be providing key information regarding contamination type
and distribution, the challenges of undertaking remediation in the desert
environment, and experience gained from other remedial efforts within the
oilfields. Specialist contractors will have the opportunity to provide case
studies of their recent remediation work and provide information on their
abilities in the context of the Kuwait environmental challenges.
