Corrosion & Integrity Workspace

Mission/Vision

The mission and vision of the Corrosion & Integrity discipline is to maintain the availability of all assets without jeopardizing the safety and environment.

Introduction

Corrosion is one of the factors that will affect the constant production of hydrocarbons as it can degrade the integrity of pipelines and facilities. Many oil companies reported this phenomenon in the form of different degradation modes such as General Corrosion, Localized Corrosion, Pitting, Corrosion Cracking, etc. We need to understand the causes of corrosion to know the mitigations and discover the solutions. The aim of this teamwork is to look for all available technologies, expertise, and case histories that can be helpful to predict and mitigate any of the degradation modes to sustain production and keep the assets in safe modes for the people and environment.

Key Activities
