Mission / Vision

The mission and vision of the Tight Reservoir Stimulation discipline is to provide a collaborative environment that will promote maximum and cost-effective hydrocarbon recovery from Kuwait Tight reservoirs.

Introduction

Kuwait has tremendous hydrocarbon resources locked up in low-productivity (Tight) reservoirs throughout its leases. The Tight Reservoir Stimulation discipline of the Centre of Excellence was established to provide a platform of collaboration that will capture all available technologies, expertise, and case histories, from within and without the company, which can be applied to convert these stranded resources into producible reserves.

This collaborative framework is designed to:
1. Facilitate Knowledge Sharing sessions on experiences gained and lessons learned from using various stimulation techniques for tight reservoirs within Kuwait,
2. Invite Global Stimulation Service Providers (Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Halliburton) or other technical training providers to conduct specialist-level trainings for TRS discipline team on Tight Reservoir Stimulation,
3. Provide Advisory Support to internal customers that may request information and advice concerning Stimulation opportunities of Tight Reservoirs within the KPC Group of Companies, and
4. Encourage more widespread and successful application of appropriate Stimulation technologies throughout the KPC Group of
Companies.
