KOC coordinated a meeting with several state entities, attended by representatives from various KOC Teams. The aim was to discuss obstacles and the mechanism for constructing new electrical towers on land near services and drilling rig routes in North Kuwait, specifically in the areas of Umm Gudair and Ratqa, as part of the Gulf Electricity Interconnection Project.
Attending the meeting from KOC were TL Local Relations Abdulaziz Hamada, along with Hussein Taqi, Abrar Abul, and Dalal Al-Turki from the same Team; Jassem Al-Azmi and Hamad Al-Hamad from the Fields Development Team (BA); Fahad Al-Ajmi from the Technical Services Team (N&WK); and Ali Al-Foudari from the Transport Operations Team.
From the Ministry of Interior, the attendees included Director of the Technical Support & Maintenance Department Brigadier General Mohammad Abdulaziz Al-Qallaf; Director of Abdali Border Security Colonel Sultan Al-Sawagh; Assistant Director of Technical Support Colonel Abdullah Fawzi; Commander of the Northern Border Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Mishari Al-Harbi; Border Security Engineers Youssef Al-Shammari and Mahdi Mubarak Al-Rashidi.
Also attending were Engineer Abdulaziz Sultan from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and two representatives from the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA): Board of Directors Affairs Manager Abdulmohsen Al-Musallami and Project Manager Alaa Rahma.
During the meeting, Senior Geologist Jassem Al-Azmi delivered a presentation on the drilling operations and plans near the routes of the new electrical towers in Umm Sidair and Ratqa. Engineer Ali Al-Foudari also presented on the routes of the drilling rigs that intersect or run close to the proposed tower sites in North Kuwait.
The active participation of all attendees played a vital role in reaffirming their collective commitment to the safety of KOC's critical sites and operations. It also reflected a strong sense of responsibility toward supporting the State's development initiatives, particularly those related to national infrastructure.
Clear technical recommendations and necessary instructions were presented during the meeting, which directly contributed to enhancing coordination among all parties involved.
