Members of KPC’s Board of Directors visit Jurassic Production Stations 4 and 5
A number of members from KPC's Board of Directors conducted an inspection visit to the projects of Jurassic Production Stations 4 and 5, which are being implemented by KOC in the Rawdatain and Umm Niqqa fields in North Kuwait.
The delegation was accompanied by KPC CEO Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, and KOC CEO Ahmad Jaber Al-Eidan, in addition to a number of Company officials.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the latest developments in these two projects that are strategic for the State of Kuwait, and the latest ongoing preparations for their official launch in the coming period.
Members of the visiting delegation praised the great efforts made by employees working on the two projects, which are among the largest in the Kuwaiti oil sector, as they form an essential part of the oil sector's 2040 Strategy. They would majorly contribute to achieving the goal of increasing free gas production in Kuwait to one billion cubic feet per day.
These two projects, which were completed on time despite the challenging circumstances faced by the oil sector worldwide, especially in terms of supply routes, will work to provide quality products to global markets, as light oil and free gas pose a tremendous challenge to all countries, due to the difficulty of extracting them and the many complexities of their reservoirs.
The two projects are also distinguished by their great economic returns, both for the Company and the State of Kuwait, in addition to the great experience that employees gain through them, and the job opportunities they provide for national cadres.
