The Reservoir Studies Team (WK) held the first workshop to study the project focused on enhancing oil recovery from Umm Gudair field using polymers.
The workshop was held under the supervision and with the attendance of TL Abrar Al-Qattan, and in cooperation with the American company Baker Hughes and the China National Petroleum Corporation. During the workshop, the detailed project plan, its objectives, and its long-term significance for the development of the limestone in the Ratawi layer of the field were presented and discussed.
During the event, Al-Qattan emphasized that this project is the first of its kind within the Field Development Group (WK), highlighting the importance of completing it within the current year to enable the Group to accelerate its implementation and enhance production by 2027 and beyond.
Al-Qattan also noted that the project is being carried out in cooperation with the Operations Support Services Team, to ensure a shared understanding of its requirements and to provide the necessary resources for its timely execution.
