Under the patronage of Deputy CEO Gas & Environment Ameena Rajab and Deputy CEO Admin & Finance Qusai Al-Amer, the HSE Group, represented by the Environmental & Social Compliance Team, in collaboration with the Finance Group, organized a Water Conservation event.
The event was attended by several Group Managers and Team Leaders, including Manager HSE Group Faisal Mirza, Manager Finance Group Aisha Al-Sulaili, and TL Employee Accounts Mohammed Al-Ajmi. Representatives from sister oil companies, the Environment Public Authority, Kuwait University, KISR, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and Kuwait Water Association were also in attendance.
The purpose of the event was to highlight KOC's ongoing efforts in water conservation, and to raise awareness about water consumption both within KOC and across the State of Kuwait.
At the opening of the event, Al-Sulaili delivered a welcoming speech, during which she touched on KOC's initiatives to rationalize water consumption. These efforts reflect the Company's commitment to the environment and society, through various initiatives aimed at preserving water.
The event featured several presentations which discussed KOC's management and efforts in preserving and rationalizing different water resources, including major current projects that contribute to preserving water. It also included awareness lectures on the best methods for water provision and sustainability, delivered by representatives from several participating entities. These presentations highlighted key technologies being deployed locally and globally in this field, as well as the importance of individual contributions to preserving this natural wealth.
At the conclusion of the event, KOC honored the lecturers and supervisors of the program.
