KOC recently organized the third annual Gartner Cybersecurity Forum under the patronage of DCEO Planning & Finance Bader Al-Attar. The event was held under the title of “Synergy of Cybersecurity Efforts with the Journey of Digital Transformation."
The event was attended by a number of KOC employees, in addition to many other officials from Kuwait's oil sector. Moreover, a group of experts and specialists from local, regional and international organizations participated at the event remotely through video communication technology.
Topics discussed during the specialized sessions included the latest trends in cybersecurity and risk management. In addition, participants also discussed the latest and most prominent cybersecurity solutions and technologies which can be used to protect internal and external communications within the oil sector.
Presentations included three success stories – one from the oil sector in Kuwait, one from the banking sector in Egypt, and one from the health sector in the United States.
Meanwhile, the forum concluded with a panel discussion chaired by KOC Manager Corporate Information Technology Ali Al-Naqib. The panel discussion, which shared valuable information with the audience, was coordinated by Team Leader Information Security Reem Al-Shammary.
