The February month has been over the years a great opportunity for KOC to give with all its power and resources, which is the least that Kuwait deserves during this month which is the time of National Days celebrations.
In February, the company's activities are focused primarily on the community, which is the foundation of this precious country. This comes within the framework of the company's commitment to fulfill its CSR, not only by sharing the joys of the community on this occasion, but also by creating platforms For those weddings and to create the beautiful atmosphere that is suitable for this period of the year.
This year was not different, as the company has exerted great efforts to establish the largest number of events or participate in them, to the extent that it turned into a beehive, the result came innovations and creative ideas and coverage in all areas and regions and various categories in the community, with the culmination of a new global achievement added to its record Which is inexhaustible, to the extent that it can be said with confidence that this year was in fact different and the company excelled even on itself, so it flew with the banner of the nation's bumper, and made us eagerly anticipate what to do in the coming years.
The following text is devoted to the activities of the company during February of this year. We hope that you will accompany us on this short tour, but we tried to honor everyone who thought, planned, supervised, implemented, contributed and helped achieve success for all these activities
Umm Al-Khair
We start from Ahmadi, where KOC and in cooperation with Ahmadi Governorate, organized Umm Al-Khair Festival, which was attended by the Governor Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
The festival included a number of events, heritage and artistic performances, and participation from civil society, official, voluntary, small projects and technical teams. It also included a special section for children who participated in mental and recreational competitions and received many prizes and surprises.

First Carnival
Umm Al-Khair was not the only festival in Ahmadi, as KOC held also its first own carnival at the Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil & Gas Exhibition over the course of three days.
The carnival was inaugurated by Acting DCEO Administration & Finance Menahi Al-Enezi in the presence of Manager Public Relations & Information Mohammad Al-Basry. The event featured the attendance and participation of a large crowd of employees from the Company, residents of Ahmadi and the general public.
The carnival, which was held every day from 12 pm to 10 pm, included various forms of entertainment, shows and contests for adults and children alike. It also included a racing circuit, while the Ahmad Al-Jaber Oil & Gas Exhibition was open to the public during the course of the Carnival.
It drew a large crowd of visitors from all parts of Kuwait, who came to enjoy the activities and the beautiful weather, and to see the unique interactive experience of the exhibition.
Those who attended expressed their desire to return once again to the exhibition when it is officially opened to the public, which will happen soon, as the company readies its preparations for the official opening.
Creative Lighting
As usual every year on the National Holidays, the Company decorated Ahmadi Town and Al-Mubarakiyah market with lighting that added a distinctive aesthetic touch to the sites.
Manager (Ahmadi Services Group) Nouri Al-Khatrash, inaugurated the special event for the lighting of Ahmadi, which was held at Ahmadi Park, where he pressed the light button in the presence of several concerned team leaders, including TL Utilities, Abdul-Aziz Al-Obaidan, whose team coordinated all related acts.
The lighting was distinctive and included a number of roads, gardens, squares and buildings in the city of Ahmadi, including the Company's Main Office and other facilities, as well as Ahmadi Park and the surrounding areas. Various models have been developed that shone brightly with the colors given by the brilliant lighting.
Utilities Team also decorated Al-Mubarakiyah Market, which turned into a beautiful painting of figures, streets and squares, which gave it a festive character worthy of the occasion.
4th time “Nawwarit”
Under the patronage and presence of DCEO for Corporate Services Ismail Abdullah, the company organized the fourth annual edition of "Nawwarit Al-Ahmadi" Festival, which was held at Ahmadi Stadium in the presence of a large audience. Everybody enjoyed the activities offered by the popular teams and the various recreational activities for adults and children, which added an atmosphere of joy and pleasure to the souls of Participants and their families.
The festival received guests for two days from 3 pm to 10 pm.
“Thank You 2”
Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, KOC participated in the "Thank You 2" carnival organized by the Martyr's Office at Al-Shaheed Park – Second phase.
The opening ceremony of the Carnival was held in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, who is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The event was attended also by Assistant Undersecretary of the Emiri Diwan, Director General of Martyr’s Office Fatima Al Amir.
The company had a significant contribution to the activities of the carnival, which was attended by a large public.
Hospital Visit
CEO Jamal AbdulAziz Jaafar, accompanied by DCEO for Administrative and Financial Affairs Menahi Al Enezi, visited the Ahmadi Hospital, where they inspected the patients' conditions and congratulated them on this occasion. They also distributed symbolic gifts to them and wished them speedy recovery.
They were received by the Director of the Hospital Dr. Emad Al Awad, Head of the Medical Services Team Abdulaziz Al-Qassar, and Acting Head of the Nursing Team Essam Taleb.

Airport & Avenues
In a first step, the company was present at the reception hall at Kuwait International Airport for two days, welcoming visitors or returning to Kuwait with a smile, making their arrival more comfortable and providing them with symbolic surprises, which they welcome with joy and praised this gesture.
Also, and under the patronage and presence of Manager Public Relations & Information Mohammad Al Basry, the company was present at the Avenues Mall, where it held a booth, in which visitors, especially children, participated in organized intellectual activities and recreational competitions.
The booth included an exhibition of pictures taken by Kuwaiti citizens showing modern Kuwait, witnessing the development of the country and its bright future.
Guinness… Again
An while at the Avenues, the company received a new certificate for a great achievement, which will join the list of many achievements throughout its history.
Expressing its devotion to His Highness of the leader of the country, and wishing to pay some of what His Highness deserves, and acknowledging the great achievements made in his reign and still continuing, the company took a step towards His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah , and succeeded for the second time to enter the Guinness Book of Records, by achieving a new record of messages of gratitude and appreciation and love for the Amir of humanity.
In a sign of its loyalty, and to renew its commitment to support the march of His Highness, the company launched several months ago a campaign in which it sought to mobilize as many people as possible to send messages of appreciation and thanks to His Highness the Amir of the country. The number of messages directed by the people to His Highness and collected in one album reached 38500 message in pictures, thus breaking the previous record that was registered in this category and was 32217 messages in pictures.
This is the second time that KOC has entered the Guinness Book after doing so in 2015 through the creation of the largest human gathering in the form of "K", in which 910 citizens and residents participated.
The company is proud that the new achievement is a step that reflects the love and pride that citizens and residents enjoy for the person of His Highness.

CEO commends recent efforts of PR & Information Group Employees
KOC CEO Jamal Abdul Aziz Jaafar, accompanied by DCEO Administration & Finance Ahmad Al-Hamad, recently met with Public Relations and Information Group employees as part of an initiative to recognize the successful efforts made by Company employees. In the meeting, the CEO expressed his thanks and appreciation to KOC’s senior leadership for their tireless efforts in organizing and conducting a number of remarkable events on the occasion of Kuwait’s National and Liberation Day holidays.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Public Relations & Information Group Manager Mohammad Al-Basry, Jaafar upheld the role of the young and talented individuals who developed many creative ideas and carried out a great deal of activities. He also affirmed the support of senior officials from all Directorates and praised the collective spirit and strong cooperation among all who participated.
He also commended the role of employees from the Community Services Team, in the presence of their Team Leader, Jasem Al-Nasser, and said that their cooperation in organizing events was imperative.
The KOC CEO also praised the initiative, which resulted in the Company entering for the second time the Guinness Book of World Records, in a move that showed the people’s love towards His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
