CMK Sourcing and Recruiting Team Organizes Tour for Kuwaiti Trainees

The CMK Sourcing & Recruitment Team recently organized a tour within KOC’s central workshops for a group of students from the training course in mechanics and oil facilities, which was organized in cooperation between the Company and the General Authority for Applied Education and Training, as part of the process of Kuwaitization of cadres.

The course started in late 2019. It includes a theoretical and practical training program, during which the student receives cash incentives, and concludes in December with a test. Those who pass the test are enrolled directly to work with the contractor.

The tour was organized in the presence of the Manager Contract Manpower Kuwaitization Group and acting Manager Training & Career Development Group Adel Al-Ansari. “This training program for KOC, which is conducted in the institutes of the General Authority for Applied Education, was followed by two other programs: precision machinery and oil facilities and electrical maintenance and oil facilities,” Al-Ansari said.

For his part, Team Leader CMK Sourcing and Recruiting Jamal Al-Hashash stated that the tour is an opportunity to market the advertisement of the General Authority for Applied Education on October 14, 2020 for three new courses involving 180 students. The advertisement was aimed to encourage high school graduates in both scientific and literary departments to enroll in the courses according to the specified conditions, which stipulate that the student should be 18-25 years and earned a score of 55% in the scientific department and 65% in literary department.

Al-Hashash pointed out that the Company's primary objective of such programs is to create career opportunities for high school graduates (scientific and literary) by acquiring the technical skills and expertise necessary in the disciplines required for the contractor.
