The Research & Technology Group recently organized a workshop aimed at reviewing the results of Phase II of the West Kuwait KwIDF project, which is centered on collaboration and integration of people, processes and technologies.
The event was attended by Group Manager Yousef Abdulrahman, Team Leader Exploration and Production Information Management Team, Hussein Al-Ajmi, R&T Subsurface Team Leader, Bader Al-Matar, along with a number of Team Leaders and employees within the WK Directorate.
The project has laid the baseline for the concept selection report in Phase 1 and project definitions in Phase II which seeks to reduce uncertainty and risks in the upcoming phase with regard to the engineering of a detailed design and implementation of the project.
The project is expected to focus on intelligent well solutions, water flooding management, integration of an Asset Model, production loss management, H2S monitoring as well as find solutions for IT and IM architecture and collaboration center design.
