Energy Transformation Committee in KOC holds kickoff meeting with “Worley

Under the patronage and in the presence of Manager Health, Safety, and Environment Shamlan Al-Roomi, and Manager Innovation and Technology Hamad Al-Zaabi, as Chairman and Co-Chair of the Energy Transformation Committee in the Company, the first kickoff meeting was held with “Worley", in the presence of Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy representatives.

This meeting came in line with the energy transformation strategy to reduce carbon emissions, where a contract was signed with “Worley" to prepare a detailed feasibility study for the largest renewable energy station in Kuwait, which would feed KOC facilities and fields with electricity.

Senior Engineer Ali Al-Herz coordinated this meeting, as Head of the Energy Unit in the Research & Technology Team (Surface), during which he gave a visual presentation on the project's objectives, scope, schedule, proposed methodology and work plan, an introduction to the legal advisor, and the next steps; followed by a Q&A session for all attendees.
