KOC receives the 2020 SPE Regional Distinguished Corporate Support Award

KOC is proud to announce that the Company was recently selected as the recipient of the 2020 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Regional Distinguished Corporate Support Award. The award from SPE recognizes KOC's contributions and support for SPE at the regional level, which was made possible through the Company's dedication to excellence in leadership. Over the past year, KOC has dedicated a considerable amount of time, energy, and professional resources in order to support and further develop SPE's regional programs and goals.

For example, KOC has hosted the Heavy Oil Conference & Exhibition (HOCE) and Kuwait Oil & Gas Show (KOGS), in addition to taking part in regional events such as ADIPEC, MEOS, and others. In the last five years, KOC employees have significantly increased the amount of technical papers they have submitted, where 2,684 technical papers were published in SPE-related events.

Moreover, KOC is increasingly being viewed as a role-model for the industry thanks to the Company's CSR initiatives, which include the sponsorship of events aimed at encouraging students to consider careers in the oil and gas industry. KOC has sponsored the “Emerging Professionals Forum" for university students and the “Code for Children" event for elementary school students under the “Energy4Me" umbrella, which provides industry-related workshops for both teachers and students at the high school level.
