KOC,
represented by the Contract Manpower Kuwaitization Group’s CMK Sourcing &
Recruiting Team, recently completed the second phase of courses at the Public
Authority for Applied Education & Training (PAAET). The aim of this
collaborative effort is to appoint the trainees to various positions under KOC
contracts.
This is
the sixth consecutive year that KOC has conducted training programs with PAAET,
which has the goal of meeting KOC’s work requirements under contracts. Four new
training programs for male and female high school graduates were added in the
fields of oil and gas control systems, oil and gas electrical networks,
maintenance of oil and gas equipment, and computer maintenance.

The
courses aim to train Kuwait’s national workforce as part of the country’s
Kuwaitization efforts for the coming years. After the completion of the first
phase, which started with the screening of applications, the English
assessments of the 734 male and female applicants began, followed by a
three-day in-person interview process.
