KOC holds training workshop on the “Methane Emission Program”

KOC organized a training workshop titled the "Methane Emission Program from the Oil and Gas Sector in Kuwait," in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme.

505.1.jpgThe workshop commenced at the Ahmed Al-Jaber Oil and Gas Exhibition and was attended by (Gas and Environment) Ms. Ameena Rajab, along with, Manager Gas Operations Group Mr. Hamad Al-Zuwayer, and other officials and employees from K-Companies.

505.2.jpgThe primary objective of the workshop, conducted over three days, was to highlight the strategies implemented by Kuwait to reduce the release of harmful gases responsible for global warming. It emphasized KOC's commitment to its global environmental obligations and its contribution to mitigating climate change.

505.3.jpgDuring the initial day of the workshop, KOC, KNPC, KIPIC, as well as the UN Environment Programme delivered various presentations and working papers. The subsequent two days involved participants reviewing presentations and working papers presented by representatives from the UN Programme and the international company "Carbon Limits."​
