Ahmadi Governor
Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah recently received a delegation from KOC at
his office in the Ahmadi Governorate building. The visit was organized to honor
KOC for the enormous efforts it has made in the fight against COVID-19 in the
State of Kuwait.
KOC’s delegation
included DCEO Administration Qusai Al Amer and DCEO Commercial and Corporate
Services Abdul Wahab Al-Mithin. During the meeting, the Governor commended the Company’s
tremendous efforts, which included the construction of quarantine facilities,
the Field Hospital in Mishref, and the provision of medical equipment and staff
from Ahmadi Hospital to the State of Kuwait’s authorities.
The Ahmadi
Governor also upheld the importance of KOC’s contributions, noting that the
Company is continuing its effort to assist the State of Kuwait’s various
authorities, especially in regard to the preparation and maintenance of
quarantine facilities, field hospitals, and awareness campaigns and other
community initiatives.
The Governor
praised the success of KOC’s ability to continue its basic operations despite
the exceptional circumstances presented by the global pandemic. He also noted
that KOC was able to overcome all difficulties associated with the pandemic in
order to continue supporting the Kuwaiti economy by maintaining production and
export operations, thereby meeting the local and global markets’ demand for energy.
At the
conclusion of the meeting, the Governor of Ahmadi presented an honorary plaque
to the KOC officials to commemorate their efforts in the fight against
COVID-19. Al-Amer and Al-Mithin then thanked the Governor for the recognition,
adding that KOC remained grateful for the support provided to the Company by
the State of Kuwait throughout its various activities and areas of operation.
