The Security Team (North & West
Kuwait) recently organized a campaign to inspect diesel tankers throughout
KOC’s areas of operation in North Kuwait. The inspection campaign falls under
the framework of the Company’s interest in ensuring the secure transport of
fuel throughout the country.
The campaign was attended by Team
Leader Faisal Al-Jaber and organized by Chief Security Officer Abdul Hadi
Al-Murshed. The campaign was held as part of an effort by the Team to maintain
the security and safety of the Company’s assets. These proactive efforts are
supported by the development and implementation of security plans which are
closely adhered to on a daily basis.
The campaign included establishing
checkpoints to verify IDs, vehicle registration numbers, entry and loading
permits, as well as ensuring that tanker drivers adhere to security and safety
conditions (proper use of seat belts, presence of fire extinguishers, etc.).
The majority of vehicles that were inspected met all safety regulations,
however one tanker did not have the proper authorization to be loaded.
Company officials have noted that
this type of campaign is of great importance to KOC for many reasons, the most
important of which is the reduction and elimination of diesel fuel theft.
