KPC CEO Visits GC-31

KPC CEO Hashem Sayed Hashem recently visited the KOC North Kuwait operational area, where he was accompanied by KOC CEO Emad Mahmoud Sultan.

Hashem and his delegation were welcomed by DCEO North Kuwait Ali Al Kandari, DCEO Major Projects & Technical Services Khaled Al-Otaibi, as well as a number of Group Managers and Team Leaders who were involved with the construction and operation of GC-31.

The visit, which was organized by the Planning Team (NK), aims to commemorate the occasion of the safe handover and start-up of the Gathering Center. The visit also aimed to review the latest developments and notable achievements in the North Kuwait operational area, especially as they relate to the development of KOC’s heavy oil fields.

During the visit, a series of presentations were delivered by a number of Team Leaders and KOC engineers. Representatives from Shell also delivered a number of presentations.

The Operations Group (NK), in collaboration with the Major Projects Team (VIII), also delivered a joint presentation on the new GC-31 project, which is an important strategic achievement for the Company. It contributes to the production of 100,000 barrels of oil and 62.5 million cubic feet of associated gas per day, in addition to 240,000 barrels of treated water. Moreover, it contains a crude oil export line, a gas export line connected to Gas Booster Station-132, and a third produced water export line to the Water Treatment Station.

At the end of the visit, all project participants were thanked and honored for their recent efforts.
