Fields Development (S&EK) Group holds a second Artificial Lift workshop

Fields Development (S&EK) Group facilitated an integrated Artificial Lift workshop, in which the Well Surveillance Group, I&T Group, as well as Schlumberger and bp participated actively along with FD S&EK.

The workshop was held over a period of two days, under the patronage and attendance of S&EK’s DCEO Eisa Al-Maraghi, Field Development Group Manager Qasem Dashti, and Manager Well Surveillance Group Mr. Ibrahim Al-Sammak, whom opened the workshop by setting the agenda and clearly outlining the urgency required to address S&EK production losses and the need to expedite technology deployment. Manager of Well Surveillance Group was also actively involved and pledged the continued support from Well Surveillance Group in order to progress the various initiatives.

Great collaboration was achieved between the participants of the workshop, including increased understanding of the limiting factors inhibiting progress, the opportunities for unlocking the barriers, driving the simplification of ESP systems, enhanced ESP inventory management to deliver win-win outcomes, and ESP and completion solutions available for implementation.

Hosting the workshop with all stakeholders is an important step to overcome all challenges, as well as a key to unlocking the full potential of the Field Development Group (S&EK), and emphasizing the efforts of the Artificial Lift Team in proactively addressing production challenges.
