The 28th
Annual Technical Conference, Exhibition & Workshops of the Gas Processors
Association - GCC Chapter, hosted by KOC at the Regency Kuwait Hotel, kicked
off and will continue until Thursday, September 22, 2022.

The event is
held under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister
of Oil, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of State for
National Assembly Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Latif Al-Fares, represented by
KPC CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah.

The opening
of the conference was attended by Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the
Ministry of Oil Sheikh Nimr Al-Sabah, Acting CEO of KOC Khalid Al-Otaibi, and
Chairman of the Gas Processors Association – GCC Branch Hamad Al-Zuwayer, who
is also Manager of the Gas Operations Group at KOC, in addition to a large
number of oil officials and heads and officials of local, regional, and global
companies, including DCEO Gas & Innovation in KOC Bader Al-Munaifi, who
chaired the first main discussion session.

The opening
witnessed three speeches by Sheikh Nawaf, Al-Otaibi, and Al-Zuwayer, followed
by the distribution of appreciation prizes to the most prominent supporting and
sponsoring bodies of the event, after which Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah inaugurated
the accompanying exhibition in which major international, regional, and local
companies involved in the gas industry participated.

The event is
held this year under the title "Natural Gas Value Chain – Opportunities
and Challenges", with the aim of exchanging experiences, knowledge, and
best practices regarding the development of the gas industry at the regional
and global levels. Its agenda includes one discussion session and 10 main
sessions divided into sub-sessions to be held over 3 days, which will be
presented by 112 speakers, of stakeholders and experts in the gas industry from
the region and the world, and it also includes 6 technical workshops.
