Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Oil and the Minister of Electricity and Water Dr. Khalid Al-Fadhel, and in the presence of the KPC CEO Mr. Hashim Sayed Hashim, the Gas Processors Association – GCC Chapter, recently held its 27th annual technical conference under the theme, "Improving Efficiency in Natural Gas Processing –Wellhead to Market".
In his opening remarks, on behalf of Dr. Al-Fadhel, Hashim focused on the objectives of KPC’s 2040 strategy, asserting that the import of LNG will be the main source of fuel in Kuwait, and emphasizing the need for enhancing Kuwait's hydrocarbon resources by using the latest applications of gas industry.
In addition, president of the Gas Processors Association – GCC Chapter, Ms. Wadha Al-Khatib, delivered a speech in which she detailed the achievements of the Association, while KNPC CEO Waleed Al-Bader explained the company's vision of being a global leader through its distinguished operational performance and creating value added for hydrocarbons.
Tokens of appreciation were then distributed to the conference sponsors, participants and exhibitors, followed by the opening of the exhibition, which introduced the latest technologies of gas processing.
During the conference, KOC won the presidency of the Gas Processing Association- GCC Chapter, through its representative, Manager Gas Operations Group Mr. Hamad Al-Zuwayer, who will serve as the President of the Association for two consecutive years.
