An inauguration ceremony for the Jurassic oil and gas production facility in Sabriya was held recently under the auspices of KPC CEO Nizar Al-Adsani. The KPC board of directors, KOC CEO Jamal Abdul Aziz Jaafar, DCEO Exploration & Gas Menahi Al-Anzi, and a number of other DCEOs also attended the facility’s opening ceremony.
The facility, which is the first of three to become operational, will gradually contribute to the enhancement of free oil and gas recovery. The remaining facilities will become operational within the next few months and are projected to produce 500 million cubic feet per day of free gas in the first quarter of the 2018/19 fiscal year. Meanwhile, light oil production is projected to reach 200,000 BOPD at the same time.
On the sidelines of the event, the KPC CEO and KPC board members Khaled Buhamra, Adulmalik Al-Gharaballi, Mufreh Al-Shimmari and Abdul Majeed Al-Shatti conducted a field visit to KOC projects that are currently under construction in North Kuwait, where they learned more about the projects and how they will contribute to increasing Kuwait’s oil and gas production.
In addition to the Sabriya facility, the tour included a visit to Gathering Center 30 in Ratqa Field, and the Heavy Oil Project in South Ratqa Field. The delegation was accompanied by KOC CEO Jamal Jaafar and DCEO (MP&TS) Esam Al-Houti, DCEO Exploration & Gas Menahi Al-Anzi, DCEO (NK) Nayef Al-Anzi and a number of Group Managers and Team Leaders.
