Overview:
The Ophthalmology Section has recently witnessed substantial developments in the services on offer. The new section includes a number of clinics such as the strabismus (squint) clinic,Retina clinic, oculoplasty clinic , Glaucoma clinic Uveitis clinic ,and diabeteic clinic. This is in addition to providing surgical operations for cataracts, glaucoma, Vitreo –Retina , eyelid,
corneal transplant, squint and oculoplasty.
The new clinics have been equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic instruments including an INTRA LASE, fundus camera with digital imaging system, Corneal topography and laser
Equipments. Recent additions here include the LASIK procedure( SMILE) and other laser eye operations for Retina and Glaucoma diseases which utilize several types of lasers to treat eye diseases .
The department also hosts regular visiting consultants from the best universities in the USA, UK, Germany, Italy and other parts of the world to examine patients and perform operations.
