Developmental Pediatrics is one of the subspecialties in the field of Pediatrics. It is a subspecialty that focuses on the development and behaviors of children. Child Development Unit is one of the unique units of the Pediatric Department in Ahmadi Hospital.
The services provided by the Child Development Unit in Ahmadi Hospital is done through a multidisciplinary team. The team is supervised by a consultant developmental pediatrician in collaboration with pediatric specialists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists as well as social workers and nurses. Those services are provided through specialized clinics for evaluation and diagnosis of various developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders as well as for providing early intervention based on the child’s need.
